ROV
Our ROVs make every location accessible
Underwater work often takes place in confined spaces. In areas where there is too little room or it is too unsafe for our divers. For this type of work, we have specialised Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) in-house. These are underwater robots controlled using remote technology. They make difficult and unsafe underwater locations accessible for purposes such as inspections, work preparations and for supporting our divers during operations.

Capturing even the smallest details with razor‑sharp clarity
Our ROVs are equipped with advanced 3.0 MHz multibeam sonar. This high-frequency technology enables us to generate extremely precise and detailed underwater imagery. These images serve as the basis for, among other applications, geometrically accurate maps for comprehensive and reliable underwater analyses.
ROVs assist our divers
ROVs allow our divers to be monitored from a distance of up to 30 metres. The operator watches the dive live from above the water, monitors safety, and analyses the diving route. Any deviations are immediately visible and can be reviewed at a later point thanks to automatic recording. In the event of an emergency, the ROV can be deployed quickly to assess the situation and scale up assistance immediately.
Emergencies?
For immediate assistance in the event of an emergency, Qceas has a diving team on standby 24/7, 365 days a year. Our expert staff are always on hand to provide quick and effective assistance.
Exceptional performance in confined spaces
Our ROVs excel not only in delivering razor-sharp images, but also in their smooth manoeuvrability. This makes them suitable for a wide range of assets, such as quays, sheet piles, mooring piles, jetties, dock piers, locks, bridges and other port infrastructure. They also navigate easily through pipelines, storage tanks and water tanks.
Our diving and ROV teams complement each other. Together, WE GET EVERY JOB DONE

Where our ROVs operate
Our ROVs can be deployed in the most complex locations. A few examples are listed below. If your application is not included here, please feel free to contact us to discuss your requirements.
Due to water scarcity, water transmission needs to continue uninterrupted. Using an ROV, we can visualise entire pipelines, even those several kilometres in length. This allows us to accurately inspect shaft entries, pipeline alignment and critical infrastructure points without shutting down the system.
Water treatment systems also cannot be shut down for inspections. Using an ROV, we can fully visualise aeration systems, filtration units and discharge pipes following primary treatment. This enables us to assess the condition of installations without interrupting the process.
In turbid water, visual inspection often proves impossible. The sonar system on an ROV penetrates this limited visibility and can detect cracks, fractures and damage in sheet piling, even when visibility is restricted to just a few tens of centimetres.
Want to inspect a lock without taking it out of service? Our underwater drones allow us to work safely while vessel traffic continues. This keeps the waterway open, enables early detection of any defects, and prevents disruptions.
