The challenge
The combination of currents, diving depth and the wide range of tasks involved made this project a technical challenge. Removing the steel coils and cutting through the ship required precision and close coordination.
As we were working with a mix of highly experienced and less experienced divers, we had to constantly adapt to ensure that every step was carried out safely and efficiently. Thanks to close cooperation with the client, we tackled every obstacle with precision and control.
Solution and preparations
We formed a close-knit team in which almost all Qceas divers worked together, supplemented by a core group of trusted freelancers. This enabled us to respond flexibly to the wide range of tasks: from XXL magnet fishing and drilling to lifting operations, cutting through sections of the vessel and even securing paint tins.
The positive atmosphere on board and the wide range of expertise within the team ensured that the job was completed seamlessly and according to plan. The project ultimately became one of the most versatile and intensive collaborations of that year.
